Meet Dr. Sybo
Dr. Brian Sybo was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and earned his bachelors in Biological Chemistry Summa Cum Laude at Kent State University where he graduated as a member of Phi Beta Kappa, an honors fraternity that recognizes students from all around the country that are in the top one percent of their graduating class. In addition, he was involved in the Birnberg Research Fellowship where he partook in a publication for his ten-week research investigating stem cells. He then obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Columbia University in New York City where he received several awards and accolades. Dr. Sybo went on to earn his medical degree at Louisiana State University Health Science Center where he completed one year of general surgery residency. Following medical school, he concluded his advanced specialty training in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery while working at University Medical Center, Touro Infirmary, faculty practice in New Orleans, LA, and Our lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA in affiliation with Louisiana State University. With his extensive training, Dr. Sybo provides the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures with special interests in extensive dentoalveolar and complex bone grafting cases, dental implants ranging from single cases to full mouth rehabilitation, orthognathic surgery, facial trauma, temporomandibular joint surgery, facial reconstruction, and the evaluation and treatment of various forms of pathology. He has also trained extensively on in-office sedation and general anesthesia. In addition, Dr. Sybo is a firm believer that learning never ends—he is passionate about attending continuing education courses and lectures on different aspects of oral surgery that will provide him with invaluable knowledge. Dr. Sybo leads an active lifestyle—in his spare time, he enjoys any form of physical activity both outdoors and indoors. Moreover, Dr. Sybo is a food enthusiast, and loves tasting and experiencing new cuisines as much as he enjoys cooking during his leisure time. Dr. Sybo resides in Tampa, Florida with his wife Truc.
